About Me

Welcome to Nura Skin Aesthetics. I’m Mel, a Community Complex Care Nurse with an MSc in Nursing Science. With over a decade of experience as a paediatric nurse, I’ve spent the majority of my career in intensive and emergency care, caring for children during some of their most critical moments. For the past five years, my focus has been on providing complex care to highly dependent children in the community, delivering specialised and compassionate support in the comfort of their own homes.

I have always had a passion for all things skincare, with my own skin journey dealing with issues such as acne, melasma, dry skin and now the inevitable age (and children!) induced fine lines and wrinkles. However, as a busy Mum working shifts, I struggled to find the time for treatments. What I really needed was an experienced practitioner, who could come to me and fit around my schedule, without the hassle of arranging childcare or booking days off.

In 2023, I completed my medical aesthetics training with the world-renowned Derma Institute. At Nura Skin Aesthetics, my mission is to combine my healthcare background with my aesthetics knowledge to offer a comprehensive and holistic approach to your skincare, all in the comfort of your home and at a time that suits you. I bring my expertise in providing complex care in the community to create a safe clinical environment in your home and I am dedicated to helping you achieve your aesthetic goals, with subtle and natural enhancements.
