Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Botox® (a brand name for Botulinum Toxin A) temporarily paralyses muscles by blocking nerve impulses. As a result, the relaxed muscle can no longer contract, smoothing out lines on the skin. These anti-wrinkle treatments are not permanent and repeated treatments are necessary for continued wrinkle-reducing effects. Most people find that the muscle-relaxing effect lasts for 3 to 4 months. However, it varies from person to person and can last up to 6 months.

Dermal Filler
Dermal Filler consists of synthetic Hyaluronic Acid, which occurs naturally in our skin and attracts moisture to maintain hydration. Due to the body’s natural ageing process, the level of Hyaluronic Acid in our skin decreases over time, leaving skin less elastic and more prone to lines and wrinkles. When Hyaluronic Acid is injected into the skin, it adds volume to smooth lines and increases the moisture retained in the skin. Effects of Dermal Filler last for 6-18 months, depending on the area, type of filler used and rate of absorption.

Skin Boosters
Skin Boosters are the newest innovation in aesthetic medicine. They are skincare powerhouses that deliver micro-droplets of either Hyaluronic Acid or Polynucleotides into the top layers of the skin.
Intended to replenish hydration, improve light reflection and smooth the canvas of the skin, without changing the structure of the face. The goal of Skin Boosters is to hydrate the skin from within, improving its overall quality and health. Rather than adding fullness, shape, or contour like Dermal Fillers, they address fine lines and skin texture and improve the appearance of dry, dull, or uneven skin.

How long do the results of anti-wrinkle injections last?
Duration of results varies from person to person depending on treatment area, lifestyle and other factors, which will be discussed at your consultation.
The treatment can take up to two weeks to take full effect and on average results tend to last up to four months. Movement will begin recovery from eight weeks.
Is the procedure painful?
A slight sting may be felt on injection, otherwise the procedure is relatively painless.
Are anti-wrinkle treatments safe?
All anti-wrinkle treatments carry a degree of risk, which will be discussed at your consultation prior to treatment. At Nura Skin, only a registered nurse who has undergone specialist training in aesthetics will administer the treatment.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Results vary from person to person, depending where you have the dermal fillers and the type of filler used. Most dermal fillers last 6 to 12 months, some last up to 18 months and lips tend to last around 6 months.
Is the dermal filler procedure painful?
A topical local anaesthetic cream may be applied to the area prior to treatment depending on the area and if requested. The dermal fillers used contain a local anaesthetic to help reduce any discomfort. Most clients tend to feel a mild sting on injection.
